Since the inception of the OOHL, goalie points have been figured as two points for a win, one for a tie, and none for overtime losses. However, with the adoption of the shootout, ties are no longer possible. So far this year I have counted only wins in figuring the goalie points toward team standings.
Since ties are no longer possible, the idea has been advanced that our goalie point scoring should parallel the NHL's scoring, and we should now award a point for an overtime loss, whether it be during the OT or shootout.
Please use this board to post your thoughts and comments on the proposal. Email your vote to me by the usual transaction deadline 6pm ET ths coming Friday, November 11.
A vote of YES is a vote in favor of making the change and awarding OOHL goalies a point for an OT loss.
A vote of NO is a vote to keep the current system and allow points only for wins.
In the event of a tie, I will cast a tiebreaker in my role as league commissioner.
If this proposal passes, I will include OT loss points for all teams, retroactive to the start of this season.

We should receive the same points in our league as the NHL teams do, so "yes" to the proposal...
